Publishing Excellence

JITI Publication Framework

JITI is published by Full Life Initiative (FLI), a non-governmental organization advocating for socio-economic development in Rwanda and Africa. Our process focuses on research in theology, the Church, and society, ensuring high academic standards while promoting open access and cultural relevance.

1

Frequency & Focus

3 times yearly

In the first two years, conferences on Church, Theology, and Development will be prepared, with presented papers published in JITI. Targeted at Rwandans, East Africans, Africans, researchers, writers, church leaders, and development advocates.

2

Copyright & Open Access

Free for readers

Open access journal: Readers can read, share, or use material without permission, but must cite JITI. Authors transfer rights to FLI. Articles are original research, not summaries. Authors must ensure manuscripts are not previously published elsewhere.

3

Cost

RWF 50,000

Authors pay for manuscript preparation and to support JITI operations. Articles can originate from books, theses, or dissertations.

4

Review Process

4-6 weeks

Double-Blind Review: Manuscripts are first accepted by the editorial board, then reviewed and corrected by expert editors. Submissions can be made via email or call channels. Authors have two weeks to revise and resubmit. After publication, major errors (such as plagiarism or falsified data) will lead to author accountability and possible disciplinary action. Minor issues like spelling are not corrected. A PDF version is provided to illustrate any post-publication corrections.
